We have heard the Cat and Wheel described as the “last proper pub in Bristol” – now we don’t know if that really is the case because we don’t get to venture out to other pubs very often. That is not us being sad it is just that we do like the Cat and Wheel more than other pubs we go in to.
Now maybe it is the superb range of well kept ales and ciders, including ciders from Melksham’s Moles Brewery, or it might be the very friendly team that serve them up that keeps customers coming back time and time again.
The pub has, for many years, been at the heart of the Bristol community and it’s reputation just keeps growing and growing. With BT and Sky Sports, a pool table, Fooseball and dart board – we could even say the Cat and Wheel is good for you!
Every Friday & Saturday we play host to some of the best bands from the area and every Wednesday we have an Open Mic night.
So whatever your ‘poison’ we look forward to seeing you at the “last proper pub in Bristol”!
One of the most friendly pubs in Bristol. Staff are always glad to see you.
The Cat and Wheel goes from strength to strength. Still the best proper pub in this part of town. Still very lively and very friendly. Still a great mix of people.
Last couple of years the Cat has become the best 'local' pub in Bristol by a long way. A varied mix of people; always a cheerful welcoming place. Good Sat music, sensible footy atmosphere, great beer. Hilarious Sunday night quiz, followed by equally entertaining karaoke!
Top quality bar staff. Lovely smiley people all round. Don't really come here often, but I should, no excuse. I really like this place.
