What you will enjoy about the Cat and Wheel

We are proud of the Cat and Wheel, now I should explain this! Well, you see, the Cat and Wheel is fast becoming one of the last bastions of pubs that have not succumbed to a big pub corporate that tells us what to serve and when to serve it.

We don’t think that would work at the Cat and Wheel – after extensive research it was agreed that 100% of our customers love our friendly service, are delighted with our range of eight (yes eight!) real ales and ciders and are excited when we bring the best of the local music scene to the Cat and Wheel.

We have all the major sporting events live and on big screen so there is always a good view!

It is because of all of these wonderful reasons our customers, new and old, enjoy their visits to the Cat and Wheel and we wouldn’t want to do anything to our beautiful Bristol pub. Well except one thing, welcome you to this local secret!

Making a difference at the Cat and Wheel

The heart of any pub is the team that run it. If they are passionate about ensuring that every customer who walks through the door stays for a bit longer and leaves as a friend or, at least, an advocate for what you’re doing then life is good!

And we do care about what we do and how we do it. Our ales are served through clean pipes and in to the ideal glass for them. Our lager is chilled through a premium serve system and poured into chilled glasses. Our entertainment varied and live!

Now you have to ask yourself if the Cat and Wheel is not your favourite pub in Bristol – why haven’t you tried it yet?

  • One of the most friendly pubs in Bristol. Staff are always glad to see you.

  • The Cat and Wheel goes from strength to strength. Still the best proper pub in this part of town. Still very lively and very friendly. Still a great mix of people.

  • Last couple of years the Cat has become the best 'local' pub in Bristol by a long way. A varied mix of people; always a cheerful welcoming place. Good Sat music, sensible footy atmosphere, great beer. Hilarious Sunday night quiz, followed by equally entertaining karaoke!

  • Top quality bar staff. Lovely smiley people all round. Don't really come here often, but I should, no excuse. I really like this place.
